Position: Sales Manager

Location: St. Albans, Hertfordshire

Salary: £30-35k Basic plus excellent commission scheme, OTE £60k+

 

 

The Company:

 

Our client, a family owned business, have been established for over 20 years. They offer handmade and bespoke kitchens made to order, manufactured by one of the largest German manufacturers and showcased in their bespoke showrooms. They are looking for a Kitchen Sales Manager to join them in their stunning showroom in St.Albans to continue to drive their reputable business forward.

 

 

The Role: Sales Manager

 

To provide excellent customer service to all clients in both stores, from initial showroom consultation, on site visits and installation and to actively sell to all customers/clients.

 

Represent the company’s Brand, delivering their high expectations. Conduct home consultations, providing the customer with a commercially viable and technically accurate design scheme.

 

To effectively Manage the Sales and Design teams across the business

 

To create Annual business plan\targets for sales team and monitor monthly, taking action when needed

 

Ensure all relevant Client Terms and Conditions are understood and payments taken at the appropriate stages of the project.

 

Present to the client a detailed product specification incorporating all relevant products, along with estimates for all necessary products for the implementation of that design.

 

Work with the Installation Manager in providing accurate and timely design briefs and drawings ensuring installation can be undertaken in accordance with relevant regulations (if appropriate) and to enable turnaround times from estimating to order conversion and installation completion to be kept to a minimum.

 

To work with the Installation Manager to minimise errors on design and ordering and reduce Remedial works.

 

Project manage all orders and customer queries raised for the client including site visits, stock availability, delivery and installation dates as per internal procedures and timescales.

 

Proactively work to generate leads and work effectively as part of a team, assisting in the delivery of superb showroom standards in both locations.

 

 

 

Sales and Design Process

 

Ensure the client has a clear understanding of the proposed design through the customer presentation and project documentation

 

Provide the client and Installation Manager with clear and concise product estimate and CAD drawings

 

Attend technical site surveys with the fitting team to ensure clear understanding of the design and how it is implemented when needed

 

Contact the customer to discuss quotation and agree design within agreed timescales

 

Clear communication to customer of the customers obligations, costs and contract, ensuring all necessary Terms and Conditions met

 

Manage the customer’s expectations regarding timescales for both deliveries and installations

 

Manage any design changes and communicate to both the customer and Fitting Team, completing changes within an acceptable timescale

 

Ensure that the order is accurate and complies with site specification and company recommendations, and all invoices are checked against goods ordered and received.

 

 

 

The Candidate: Sales Manager

 

 

Attention to detail and proven numerical and analytical skills.

 

Excellent communication skills (In English, both verbally and in writing).

 

Interpersonal skills with the ability to build good working relationships internally and externally.

 

The ability to handle competing priorities and a challenging workload within a pressurized working environment;

 

Organisational skills with evidence of prioritising responsibilities.

 

Ability to work under own initiative and in a team with the ability to demonstrate this;

 

Responds to customer queries and feedback in a positive manner;

 

Must have drive, energy and be self-confident.

 

Be passionate about brand, mission and values.

 

High standards of personal appearance.

 

Full UK driving licence.

 

Retail experience and One to one active sales experience, preferably within a luxury environment.

 

Minimum 18 months experience in kitchen design in a retail environment

 

CAD experience, preferably Winner.

 

Technically sound, having an understanding of materials and construction principals, building, plumbing and electrics.

 

Proven experience of working in a team.

 

 

 

Desirable

 

Design qualification in interior design or spatial planning

 

Knowledge of the EQ sales system.

 

2 A levels (equivalent qualification or relevant experience)

 

GCSE Maths and English (min C grade or equivalent qualification).

 

Design or spatial planning degree (equivalent qualification or relevant experience).
